The 2015 North Lake Tahoe Plein Air Open is inviting artists
of all levels to participate in 4 days of plein air painting events
on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe
DEADLINE TO APPLY IS MAY 1
Painting occurs June 16-19, 2015 throughout the breathtaking scenery of Lake Tahoe. A Gala Reception and NTA Fundraiser will kick off the weekend-long events of the Tahoe City Downtown Association's Solstice Festival and the Tahoe City 10th Anniversary Wine Walk. The reception will host light fare, wine and live music by woodwind ensemble, Sandra Watkins & Friends. A silent auction and juried competition with awards and prizes will take place at the reception as well. Judges are Howard Rees and Phyllis Shafer. Participants also have opportunities to exhibit and sell work during the weekend events and at NTA galleries.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Tuesday, June 16
9am-12pm: Artists arrive to register at North Tahoe Arts
and get canvases stamped
Wednesday, June 17
9am-12pm: Organized Paint Out, Bristlecone Beach refreshments provided by Sugar Pine Cakery
5-8pm: Painting Demostration, location TBA
Thursday, June 18
9-11:30am: Quick Draw Competition, Tahoe City Farmers
Market at Commons Beach
Friday, June 19
9am-12pm: Organized Paint Out, Blackwoood Canyon, refreshments provided by Tahoe House
4-6pm: Gala Reception & Fundraising Event for NTA
at Dockside 700 in Tahoe City
Saturday, June 20
10am-5pm: Public Exhibit, Sale & Painting Demonstrations during the Tahoe City 10th Anniversary Wine Walk
Sunday, June 21
10am-4pm: Public Exhibit, Sale & Painting Demonstrations, "People's Choice" Awarded at North Tahoe Art
